14 more people die in Pakistan’s rain-hit areas

Peshawar, Mar. 15 (ANI): At least 14 people, including women and children were killed and several others injured in rain related incidents in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and adjoining tribal areas yesterday.

Six deaths were reported from Khyber Agency, two each from Mardan and Bannu, one each from Malakand, Tank, Chitral and Swat districts reports Dawn.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has predicted another rain spell in KP province and flashfloods could be feared in flash floods were feared in Malakand and Hazara divisions from Thursday.

Alerts have been issued to all the districts heads to take precautionary measures and provide immediate relief to the affected people in case of emergency.

No rain forecast has been made for Tuesday, but scattered rain is predicted across the province on Wednesday. (ANI)
