21-year-old dies after being hit by car

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses after a fatal pedestrian collision in the Town of Richmond Hill.

On Thursday, May 5, 2016, at just after 9 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a serious collision involving a pedestrian on Pemberton Road, just west of Stockdale Crescent. When officers arrived they located an injured a 21-year-old female from  Richmond Hill, who had been struck by a grey Hyundai Sonata.

The female was taken to hospital where she has since succumbed to her injuries.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to please come forward.
