22-year-old man from Brampton charged in shooting case

Investigators from 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Peel Regional Police have charged a 22 year old male in relation to a second shooting incident in Brampton, in as many days.

On Sunday June 26th, 2016 at approximately 11:50 AM, the victim met the suspect in a plaza at the corner of Kennedy Road and Steele’s Avenue, Brampton. Both parties were seated in the victims vehicle when an argument ensued, following which the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the victim. The suspect then fled the area.

The victim, a 50 year old Brampton resident, was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital where he was treated and later released.

On Thursday, July 7th, 2016 Raheem Rowe , a 22 year-old resident of Brampton was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, and several firearms related offences. He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, on Friday, July 8th, 2016.

Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have information about this matter, to call them at (905) 453-2121, ext. 2233.  Anonymous information may also be submitted to Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.  Information leading to the identification of any of the suspects may qualify for a cash reward.  – CINEWS
