25-year-old woman dies in single-car crash in East Gwillimbury

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the Town of East Gwillimbury.

On Sunday, May 29, 2016, shortly before 11 p.m., officers were called to a single-vehicle collision on Yonge Street in East Gwillimbury. The vehicle was located by police off the roadway and the lone occupant inside the vehicle, a 25-year-old female from the Town of Newmarket, was suffering from life-threatening injuries. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to please come forward.
