5.6-magnitude quake hits Afghanistan

Kabul, Jan 13 (IANS) An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted South of Jarm, Afghanistan at 08.05 p.m. on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 242.94 km, was initially determined to be at 36.6093 degrees north latitude and 70.886 degrees east longitude.
