This ranking gave consideration to schools that are members of The Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), or accredited members of The Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). Theological affiliates of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) were also considered. Each of these schools were evaluated and scored in the following criteria: 1) continuity of campus; 2) architectural style; 3) signature building(s); and 4) natural setting. The total score from these criteria was then used to rank the schools.

Anna-Rebekah Orr, site editor for Christian Universities Online, states that the goal of this ranking is to highlight schools whose educational offerings are enhanced by beautiful surroundings. “For many,” says Orr, “a beautiful campus is an important criteria when deciding on a school. With this ranking we hope to point to a selection of Bible Colleges that offer the kind of beautiful setting that many find conducive for learning.”
