92 militants killed in military operation: Balochistan Home Minister

Quetta, Apr. 2(ANI): At least 92 militants have been killed and 417 targeted operation launched by the security forces in Balochistan province in the last four months.

“Security forces in the province have also seized more than 10,000 kilograms of explosives and other arms and ammunition,” Dawn quoted Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti as saying.

Addressing a press conference yesterday, Bugti said that terrorism would not be tolerated in the province.

He added that 22 Frontier Corps (FC) personnel lost their lives during the operation, while 65 were injured.

Referring to the recent arrest of Kulbushan Jadhav, whom Pakistan allegedly calls an Indian intelligence officer working with the RAW, Bugti reiterated that the RAW was active in subversive and terror activities in the province.

“The RAW agent is being interrogated in connection with terrorist activities in Balochistan,” Bugti added.

Meanwhile, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, spokesman for the provincial government, said that the Indian intelligence agency was hatching conspiracies against China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). (ANI)
