Tiger Shroff starrer A Flying Jatt registered a strong growth on Sunday that concluded the long weekend, making it the tenth highest weekend opener of 2016.
However, it was not enough to bump it up as a success at the box office. The film is likely to register a dip in its box office collection on Monday.
The movie collected Rs 9 crore on Sunday at the BO, which is the highest so far on a given day since the film released on Thursday. The movie has so far collected around Rs 29.45 crore in box office collection, which is much less compared to what the star’s Baaghi earned in three days (Rs 38.58 crore).
Considering the poor performance of A Flying Jatt during the long weekend, the film is not expected to do well during weekdays. The coming week will largely test the film’s strength to survive at the box office.
A trade analyst tweeted, “#AFlyingJatt Thu 7.10 cr, Fri 6 cr, Sat 7.35 cr, Sun 9 cr. Total: ₹ 29.45 cr. India biz. Note: #Baaghi collected ₹ 38.58 cr in 3 days.”
He also took to Twitter to share, “#AFlyingJatt has underperformed, considering it was an extended 4-day weekend. Biz saw growth on Sat and Sun, but the big jump was missing.” Apparently, A Flying Jatt has failed to benefit from an early release on Thursday.” – CINEWS
