New Delhi.Sept.19 (ANI): Reacting to the opposition’s criticism over the resignation of Supreme Court advocate H. S. Phoolka, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday said that Phoolka is still with the party and would handle all their legal cases and added that he wants to focus on the 1984 carnage cases, which is why he resigned.
“He was thinking about resignation for a long time but announced it now. He wants to focus on the cases of 1984 carnage. Our best wishes are with him,” AAP Spokesperson, Saurabh Bhardwa told ANI here.
“He wants to give the authority of handling legal set of AAP party to someone else because he wants to focus on his work,” he said.
Phoolka on Saturday resigned from all his posts in the party, saying he wants to focus on the cases of Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler which are at a very crucial juncture.
“I have been following the cases of Sajjan Kumar and Tytler. These cases are at a very crucial juncture now and my whole involvement is to record these cases. So, keeping this in mind, the Aam Aadmi Party has happily relieved me of all political posts and allowed me to fully concentrate on these cases,” said Phoolka. (ANI)
