Abhishek Bachchan has ‘great memories’ of ‘Delhi 6’ (Movie Snippets)

Mumbai, Feb 20 (IANS) As Abhishek Bachchan’s movie “Delhi 6” completed seven years of its release on Saturday, the actor took a trip down memory lane and called it a “special” film.

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the drama film released in 2009 and also features Sonam Kapoor, Om Puri, Waheeda Rahman, Rishi Kapoor and Divya Dutta.

“Hey thanks a lot guys. Special film and great memories. @RakeyshOmMehra #7YearsOfDelhi6 @chintskap @sonamakapoor,” Abhishek tweeted on Saturday.

Abhishek, who was last seen in director Umesh Sharma’s “All Is Well” last year, will next be seen in writer-director duo Sajid-Farhad’s comedy film “Housefull 3”.

The film also stars actors Riteish Deshmukh, Akshay Kumar, Lisa Haydon, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nargis Fakhri.

Actor Saqib Saleem says veteran actress Shabana Azmi’s performance in “Neerja” and the film’s climax made him “cry like a baby”.

Shabana, essayed the role of Rama Bhanot, the mother of Neerja, in the biopic on the late Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life while saving others on a hijacked plane.

“And Shabana Azmi ji, I can’t express how much I loved your performance. That climax speech had me crying like a baby,” Saqib tweeted.

The film also stars actress Sonam Kapoor, who essayed the role of Neerja in the film, which released on Friday.

On the work front, Saqib will soon be seen sharing screen space with actress and sister Huma Qureshi in the Hindi remake of American supernatural psychological horror film “Oculus”.

Huma Qureshi remembers ‘journey’ of ‘Badlapur’

Actress Huma Qureshi remembered the journey of her film “Badlapur”, which has completed a year of its release in the Hindi film industry.

“#1YearOfBadlapur Such a journey,” Huma tweeted and tagged members of the film’s cast including Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Yami Gautam and Divya Dutta.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, “Badlapur” which released last year, is co-produced by Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla.

On the silver screen, the actress will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of Hollywood film “Oculus”.

The 2013 horror film “Oculus” is a story of a brother-sister duo battling paranormal activity.

Huma, along with her actor-brother Saqib Saleem, will be reprising the characters played by Karen Gillan and Brenton Thwaites respectively.

The film will be directed by Prawaal Raman of “Main Aur Charles” fame.

Huma, the elder and the more popular of the two siblings, has already displayed her acting skills in films such as “Gangs of Wasseypur Part 2”, “Dedh Ishqiya” and “Badlapur”. Meanwhile, Saqib has featured in “Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge” and “Mere Dad Ki Maruti”.
