Though Abhishek Bachchan has finishes 16 years in the Hindi film industry, still he feels nervous before his release. As he is ready with his film “Housefull” 3 to open in theaters , he concedes that even after such a long time, despite everything he gets butterflies.
Asked by a daily if it’s been tough stepping out of the shadow of his father, legendary Amitabh Bachchan?’s shadow, Abhishek has been cited saying, “If you start thinking from that perspective, you will never be able to do anything. I’m attempting to be as well as can be expected. I would prefer not to be compared with anybody, particularly my dad. I’m not just his son, but also his biggest fan. I am who I am because of my parents. Being their son is a matter of great pride for me.”
As for people being harsh on him because of his lineage, Bachchan Junior allegedly countered, How many actors get compared to Amitabh Bachchan? How many actors have the privilege of being spoken about in the same breath as him? That’s my blessing. If anyone feels I am worthy of being compared to him, then I am doing something right.”
Abhishek Bachchan gets candid when it went to the topic of his ‘commercial suitability’. Reviewing the times when his films weren’t doing admirably and movie producers were uncertain about working with him, he has been further cited saying, “your telephone doesn’t ring, nobody accepts your calls, however that is the business; you can’t think about it literally. At that point, one film works, and everybody is back on track. There’s not in any case one actors who hasn’t had flops. That is the standard of the business; what goes up needs to descend and the other way around.” -“CINEWS”
