New Delhi, Sept 28 (ANI): Women activist Jagmati Sangwan on Monday demanded action against Mumbai cops who had thrashed and arrested a woman recently.

“We demand her release and we demand action against those police people who indulged in this,” Sangwan told ANI.

Condemning the act, Sangwan further added “It is an assault on the freedom of expression and more over she was a journalist and she did her duty and for that she was assaulted and arrested.”

A woman was brutally beaten up by cops as she jumped the queue at the time of Ganpati Visarjan.

The Mumbai Police has been caught on camera slapping, beating and dragging a woman as she dared to jump the queue and go to the VIP entry area. (ANI)
