Actor Akshay Kumar, who had performed several daredevil stunts in Bollywood, says the action genre has changed over the years due to the influx of technology from the west.
“Action has changed a lot over the years. We have started getting so much help from Hollywood, from the Chinese film industry, from Hong Kong and Australia… So we are getting a lot of technology here now,” he said.
“Because of this, we have changed a lot (in action) and we will keep on changing. As much as the business of the films are going to increase, the action will change,” Akshay said during a media interaction for the promotion of his film Rustom.
Akshay is known for doing his own stunts like Tom Cruise. While he has undergone martial arts training, he has also worked very hard on his body. His work include a range of action movies including Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Khiladi, Khiladi 420, Rowdy Rathore, Sabse Bada Khiladi and much more.
His recent action movies include impressive Baby, Airlift, Gabbar and so on. His daredevil stunts in movies have also earned him a nickname – ‘Khiladi.’
A few days ago Tiger Shroff said he was doing stunts with the help of cables for the first time in his film “A Flying Jat.”
Rustom is based on the theme of infidelity and extra-marital relationships and is based on the case of naval officer K.M. Nanavati and the murder of his wife’s lover. Also starring Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, Arjan Bajwa and Pavan Malhotra among others, the film is set to release on August 12. – CINEWS
