A police complaint has been filed against Kamaal R. Khan aka KRK, who has made headlines for his unsavoury social media remarks towards women in showbiz.
The FIR is filed in Versova for posting derogatory pictures and comments about Bollywood heroines on Facebook and Twitter.
As per other reports, a Mumbai-based has filed the complaint against KRK in Versova police station for posting nasty remarks against female actors and models on Twitter. It is alleged that the self-proclaimed film critic has harassed over 18 actresses on the internet from 2012.
Kamaal Rashid Khan is a film actor, producer and writer. His first film Deshdrohi was banned in Maharashtra by the state government amid riot concerns. He has been accused of making derogatory caste-based remarks and defamatory remarks against South Indian actor Dhanush in his review of the latter’s movie Raanjhanaa, posted on YouTube. A case has been registered against Kamaal in Delhi.
In the new FRI he has been booked under Sections 354 and 309 of the Indian Penal Code.
Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt had slapped a defamation case against him for his derogatory remarks and he had to apologise. Of late, Bhatt has been vocal in criticising Khan.
In reaction to Bhatt’s statements on the controversy, Khan then tweeted: “Today I watched @TheVikramBhatt on @TheQuint n he said-KRK has got big social media power so he should decide whether he wants to be..Cont..”
“Recognised as a troll only or respected critic n I am 100% agree with his statement. So thanks to @TheVikramBhatt for showing me right way.”
Responding to Khan’s change of heart, Bhatt expressed his admiration for the actor for accepting it on a social media platform.
Khan had targetted actresses like Priyanka Chopra, Huma Qureshi, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Sunny Leone, Bipasha Basu and Nargis Fakhri. – CINEWS
