Abhay Deol has tasted success as well as faced failure in showbiz, and actor-producer says that as a star “success, as well as the failure” of a film, leaves an impression on your mind. He has delivered hits like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dev. D, and also saw setbacks with failures like Aisha and One by Two.
When asked how he faced flops he says “Obviously. It is not a happy time when a film doesn’t do well”.
“Everything affects you, success affects you and failure also affects you…You have to be inhuman (for not getting affected),” he further added. The 40-year-old star said that most of the actors by nature are sensitive despite they project a confident exterior.
“We get affected by so many things,” he added. The Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye actor feels if individuals are not affected by the surroundings, then somewhere they have become insensitive.
“If we are not affected by our environment, then we have somewhere become insensitive. It might be good in a way because you might not be affected by anything and be calm always,” Abhay said.
The actor, who was last seen in Happy Bhaag Jayegi, added that “it is important to keep that sensitivity alive as a human being”.
Abhay said he wouldn’t mind working in a sequel of Happy Bhaag Jayegi if it is being made.
“There are talks of doing the second part of Happy Bhaag Jayegi as the film did well at the box-office. It’s not certain if Anand Rai and Mudassar Aziz, who wrote the script, are planning a sequel. However, I wouldn’t mind doing the sequel,” he said.
The actor was speaking at the Grand Finale of ‘Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2016’.
The makers of Abhay and Diana Penty-starrer ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’ are reportedly considering a sequel to the film.
Besides Deol and Diana, the film also featured Jimmy Shergill, Ali Fazal and Momal Sheikh in lead roles.
The film, which was released on August 18, garnered quite a positive response from the audiences and Abay seems to be overwhelmed with the response.
The “Dev D” actor said: “Yes! I am so happy that the film is a hit. Thank you so much for the good response.”
The actor, who has done films like “Shanghai” and “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”, also wants to produce films. He said: “I will produce, if the right film comes along.”
When asked about his forthcoming projects, Abhay said he hasn’t signed anything as of now as he is “choosy”. “If the script interests me I will do that film. But I haven’t signed anything yet,” he said. – CINEWS
