Ruhi Singh…Difficult for an outsider to make a name in the industry.

Actress Ruhi Singh, who shot some intimate scenes with Karan Kundra for the music video of the song Do Chaar Din, believes actors shouldn’t have inhibitions.

She has especially praised actress Radhika Apte for making bold choices in Bollywood and for setting an example. Asked if she has any limitations as an actress, Ruhi said: “One thing an as an actor you have to keep in mind is that you can’t have qualms not just about intimate scenes, but about every scene.”

Talking about Radhika she says the actress doesn’t limit herself. She is a brilliant actress. Having worked in “Calendar Girls” and “Ishq Forever”, Ruhi says: “If a particular scene requires it (intimacy) and if it’s justified in the script, then why not?”

Ruhi hails from a non-film background. She admits it gets a bit difficult for an outsider to make a name in the industry.

“It’s a big thing when you not from here (Bollywood) and when you don’t have a film background. Having said that, I also feel success is fun when you work hard. I don’t have control over my films but I have learnt that it is important to choose right scripts,” said Ruhi.

Ruhi was spotted by Madhur Bhandarkar as he was impressed by a Canadian documentary she had done. He signed her as one of his five leading ladies in his film Calendar Girls.

The movie got released on 25 September 2015. The story of Calendar Girls focuses on five girls who hail from different regions of India, and who have been selected to pose for the country’s most prestigious annual calendar which is a joint effort between business tycoon Rishabh Kukreja and his photographer friend Timmy Sen. – CINEWS
