Advance vote for Toronto Ward 2 and school trustee elections

Advance vote for Torolnto’s Ward 2 councillor by-election and two school board by-elections starts on Saturday.

Voter information cards have been mailed out for the July 25 by-elections for the offices of
• Councillor, City Ward 2
• Trustee, Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Ward 1 (City Wards 1 and 2)
• Trustee, Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Ward 5 (City Wards 9 and 10) The voter information cards tell electors where to vote during the advance vote or on election day.

The July 25 by-elections advance vote is being held Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Election day is Monday, July 25 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

An elector who has not received a voter information card can use the online tool Where Do I Vote at or call 416-338-1111 to find out where to vote. A voter information card is not required to vote, but electors must provide acceptable identification showing their name and qualifying address to receive a ballot. During the advance vote, all voting places will be accessible. A voter assist terminal, available at each voting place, is provided to assist voters with disabilities in marking their ballot privately and independently. Electors who want to use this assistive device on election day should contact Election Services at 416-338-1111 by July 19 to make the necessary arrangements.
