After Delhi, resident doctors in Mumbai go on strike

Mumbai, July 2 (ANI): Resident doctors across Mumbai, estimated to be around 4,500 in number, have gone on strike, demanding certain amenities from the government.

“We had placed 10 demands before the authorities. We have demanded certain amenities like maternity leave for women doctors. We also asked for CCTV cameras to be installed in hospitals to help avoid untoward incidents. We have had a word with the ministers over the same,” one of the protesting doctors said.

This strike comes close on the heels of a similar strike by doctors in Delhi. (ANI)
