Air Canada’s Ulysse Awards for five Montreal companies

montrealThe prestigious Ulysse Awards were presented on Tuesday to five Montréal companies in the tourism industry that implemented bold and innovative business strategies in 2015.

Presented by Air Canada and organized by Tourisme Montréal, the evening of recognition and networking took place in the Grévin Museum ballroom. It was an opportunity to highlight the outstanding work of Montréal’s key tourism players and to mark the city’s excellent tourism performance in 2015.

“With the Ulysse Awards, we celebrate the great work of our industry partners. We enjoyed a solid year in tourism in 2015, thanks in part to everyone’s concerted efforts to make Montréal an attractive place to visit. I would like to thank all stakeholders for their initiative and enthusiasm in making our city such a dynamic destination,” said Yves Lalumière, President and CEO of Tourisme Montréal.

The 2016 winners are:

Category 1: Bill Brown Award, Up-and-Coming in Tourism
Winner: Marie-Michèle Thibault, Loews Hôtel Vogue

Category 2: Influencer, Meeting and/or Convention Award
Winner: Moran Klod, Fairmont Queen Elizabeth

Category 3: Welcome Strategy
Winner: Marriott Terminal Aéroport de Montréal

Category 4: Promotion of the Destination
Winner: MURAL

Category 5: Innovation, Product Development
Winner: Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles

The Ulysse Awards gala was also made possible because onsors: Aéroports de Montréal, le Journal de Montréal, National Bank, l’Alchimiste and les Glaceurs.

Tourisme Montréal is responsible for providing leadership in the concerted efforts of hospitality and promotion in order to position Montréal as a destination on leisure and business travel markets.
