Airbnb paid USD 1.3 million to Paris in 2015

New Delhi, Feb.5 (ANI): American online home rental service, Airbnb paid nearly 1.2 million Euro (USD1.3 million) to the city of Paris in the last quarter of 2015.

The company had began charging a tourist tax from 2015. The company was charging users at a rate of 0.83 Euro per person per night, AFP news agency and the Verge reported.

Airbnb has introduced similar tax-collecting systems in Amsterdam, Chicago, and Washington, DC.

Headquartered in San Francisco, California, the company is privately owned and operated by Airbnb, Inc. (ANI)
