New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar expressed a unique desire when he landed in the national capital to promote his upcoming flick ‘Airlift’.
Speaking on the occasion, Akshay said, “I want this film or the real evacuation incident to be included in children’s textbook so that kids get to know what actually happened and what Indians do.”
The 48-year-old actor added that in 1990, media carried out only one article about the entire incident because India did it so secretively that no one even got a hint about the largest civilian evacuation ever.
Akshay also said during the occasion that that even he was not aware about the 1990 evacuation until the film was offered to him.
‘Airlift’ is an upcoming drama flick directed by Raja Krishna Menon that takes the evacuation of Kuwait-based Indians in 1990 into spotlight.
