The performing artist played the smooth father of Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in the film. Subsequent to winning the grant, the performer said he just won it on account of his child, Harshvardhan Kapoor.
A source near Anil says, “Harshvardhan persuaded Anil to take up that part, as it was altogether different. He needed his father to attempt various types of parts. Thus, he was extremely upbeat when Anil got a recompense. Before, he had persuaded Anil to do Slumdog Millionaire (2008), and that part earned him worldwide acknowledgment.”
