New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): Fashion designer Anupama Dayal dedicated her collection ‘Manjula’ to her mother on the third day of Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016.
The collection was a beautiful combination of off shoulder dresses, kaftans, fluid long dress, shirt dress, georgette sarees etc, mostly in shades of orange and red, giving the entire collection a Bengali look.
Talking about her collection, Anupama said, “My collection is called ‘Manjula’ and I wanted to fill it with irreplaceable spirit of my mother. I have brought the collection keeping in mind her likes and dislikes and everything that we love and learn from our mothers. I wanted to dedicate this collection when she is here to help me with every problem that I come across.”
The designer said that she wanted to thank her mother for all the teachings which
she has imbibed into her, not only at personal but on professional front as well.
She moved beyond her love for flowers and opted for stripes of different kinds in her collection.
Anupama effortlessly blended bohemian style and Indian style in her collection. She paired up the entire outlook with eco-friendly and recycled fabric made jewellery.
The five-day fashion gala, Amazon India Fashion Week in association with Maybelline Spring Summer 2016 will showcase a total of 56 designers this year and will conclude on October 11.
