Anurag Kashyap has self-contradicting relations with the Censor board. Each time his directorial inspires prepared to release, the Board thinks that it’s important to raise protests. What’s more, that goes back to his first film Paanch which never could see the light of the day.
Since the time that then both have been at loggerheads. Censor Board has been a consistent guilty party in this, questioning the substance of almost all his movies in light of the fact that Kashyap puts stock in making movies that are restless and significant. Clearly, such movies make the Board engagement. Indeed, even today, they keep on being after him and his work. Udta Punjab, which is his production alongside Balaji Motion Pictures, is involved in this wreckage now to show a certainty about Punjab. The movie producer is presently battling out with him and has even blamed Censor Chief Pahlaj Nihalani for extorting him.
While clarifying the procedure of how Nihalani is treating the film, Anurag Kashyap told Times Now, “What happened was he (Nihalani) referred us to the revising committee, we decided to go to the tribunal. The tribunal told us we need the objections the examining committee has with the film. Mr. Nihalani refused to give us the objections. When Tribunal called him directly, he said the objections have left the office and they are in the Speed post. That Speedpost has never reached the Tribunal.” When Arnab Goswami, the questioner, interposed in the event that he supposes Nihalani is being noxious and extorting him, the chief answered in certifiable. He wants to harass us and he wants us to delay it (Udta Punjab). He is literally blackmailing and cornering us,” claimed Kashyap. – CINEWS
