AP minister’s son arrested for stalking woman

Hyderabad, Mar. 6 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu’s son Ravela Susheel has been arrested by the Hyderabad police on Sunday after he surrendered in Jubilee Hills police station for allegedly stalking a woman in Banjara Hills area.

The Hyderabad police had yesterday served notice under section 41A of Code of Criminal Procedure, to Susheel for allegedly misbehaving with a woman.

The incident took place on Thursday evening in the posh Banjara Hills neighbourhood when Sushil sitting in his car allegedly intercepted a woman, held hand and tried to drag her inside.

“They held my hand and asked me to get into the car, I somehow escaped and complained to my husband who recognized them and made the locals beat him up. Then we complained to the police after which I came to know that he is the son of a minister,” the complainant said.

The woman said the driver passed lewd comments and both of them asked her to sit in the car.

The relatives of the woman had alleged that police were not taking action against the accused. They demanded immediate arrest of the minister’s son. (ANI)
