New Delhi, Feb. 5 (ANI): Tech giant Apple, Google and American electronic commerce and cloud computing company Amazon are expected bidders for Thursday Night Football’s streaming rights.
The NFL believes all three of those tech giants will soon try to acquire Thursday Night Football’s streaming rights, the Variety and the Verge reported.
Thursday Night Football games will be broadcast by NBC and CBS for the next two years, and both have rights to stream them to paying cable subscribers.
Thursday Night Football is the branding used for broadcasts of National Football League (NFL) games that broadcast primarily on Thursday nights beginning on week second of the regular season, and occasionally on Saturdays in the later portion of the season. Most of the games kick off at 8:25 p.m. Eastern Time. (ANI)
