Jodhpur, Mar. 10 (ANI): Bollywood actor Salman Khan has arrived at a court here, where his statement will be recorded in connection with an 18-year-old Arms Act case filed against him.
The district and session trial court is hearing a case of alleged illegal possession of arms against Salman in connection with black buck poaching.
The actor had appeared in the court on April 29 last year and pleaded innocence.
The case under Arms Act was registered after the weapons, allegedly used by him for hunting down two blackbucks in 1998, had their licences expired.
While a case against him for poaching a blackbuck near Jodhpur’s Kankani is still underway, the forest department filed a separate case under the Arms Act.
In a major relief to the actor, the Jodhpur court had last year accepted his plea to produce four witnesses in the case.
The Rajasthan High Court had ordered for the submission of files related to the sanction procedure for prosecution by district collector to the court. (ANI)
