Arnold Schwarzenegger…First time he’s not voting Republican.

Arnold Schwarzenegger said he will NOT be voting for Donald Trump, making it the first time the former governor has not voted for the Republican party!

Well known Republican and actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 69, is yet another prominent politician who is looking to distance himself from Donald Trump’s, 70, damaging brand. In an emotional open letter he shared on Twitter on Oct. 8, the former California governor announced that he would not be giving his vote to Donald in the upcoming general election!

“For the first time since I became a citizen in 1983, I will not vote for the Republican candidate for President,” Arnold wrote in the statement. “Like many Americans, I’ve been conflicted by this election – I still haven’t made up my mind about how exactly I will vote next month.”

The Predator actor also noted that he’s always been a “proud Republican” since he moved to the United States, citing former President Nixon’s ambitions to get free trade and strong military as his reason for joining the party.

But unfortunately, Arnold said being Republican comes second to being an American. “But as proud as I am to label myself a Republican, there is one label that I hold above all else – American,” he wrote.

Arnold concluding by pleading with his fellow party members to rethink their decision ahead of election day. “So I want to take a moment today to remind my fellow Republicans that it is not only acceptable to choose your country over your party – it is your duty.”

Arnold’s words echo after GOP figures, including Utah Senator Mike Lee, 45, Idaho Senator Mike Crapo, 65, and conservative Hugh Hewitt, 60, who have all urged Trump to back out as the Republican nominee.

While many leaders in the Republican party have vowed not to back Trump in the upcoming election, the candidate isn’t backing down.

Following the scandal surrounding his 2005 conversation in which he used vulgar language about Nancy O’dell, 50, the presidential candidate claimed that he would “never withdraw.” “I’ve never withdrawn in my life.” But Arnold’s recent statement will definitely cause a buzz among the party.
