Mumbai, July 17 (IANS) Actress Asha Negi, who hosts “Indian Idol Junior” along with actor Hussain Kuwajerwala, was pranked by one of the contestants of the singing reality show. The participant gifted her a lizard in a box.
“Asha Negi is a hit with the kids. They all love talking and fooling around with her. This (prank) was all planned by Ajay Brijwasi (contestant). He looks very innocent and gullible, but this prank made us change our perception about him,” a source from the set said in a statement.
The episode featuring Ajay Brijwasi will be aired on Saturday.
The second season of “Indian Idol Junior”, which is co-judged by actress Sonakshi Sinha along with music composers Salim Merchant and Vishal Dadlani as well as playback singer Shalmali Kholgade is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

‘Maharana Pratap’ to take three-year leap
Popular historical TV show “Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap”, based on the life of Maharana Pratap, a 16th century Rajput ruler of Mewar, is all set to take a three-year leap to make the storyline more riveting.
“The upcoming storyline will see a three-year leap taking place. The cast of the show will not change post the leap,” a source from the show said in a statement.
Rajshree Thakur, who was seen playing the role of Jaivanta Bai, will return to the show in a new avatar. Also, the character of Udai Singh played by actor Shakti Anand will die, and that will mark his exit from the show, the source added.
“Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap”, which airs on Sony Entertainment Television, also stars Rachana Parulkar and Aashka Goradia, among others.
Suyyash Rai follows in Salman Khan’s footsteps
Following in the footsteps of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, TV actor Suyyash Rai likes to cycle his way to the set.
Suyyash, who plays the role of a rockstar in TV show “Phir Bhi Na Maane…Badtameez Dil”, is often seen riding his bicycle to the set..
“I am learning from the best in the industry; Salman Khan. He is someone I really look up to as he is one of the fittest actors we have today. Just like how he often manages to cycle, burn calories and reach on time, I too have been doing that and it is actually quick and helpful,” Suyyash said in a statement.
“Phir Bhi Na Maane Badtameez Dil” airs on Star Plus, and has music playing a major role in the plot.
