Mumbai, April, 11 (CINEWS): Amitabh Bachchan has reacted to the claims that he has utilized his star energy to sidestep charge, saying that he is a “law abiding citizen”.

On Friday, a news report shared the 73-year-old on-screen character’s “brush with the Income Tax Department right  from 2009 and how his credits were paid off utilizing seaward substances”.

In response to this, Amitabh Bachchan discharged an official explanation:

“I wish to express that the article conveyed in the DNA dated April 8, 2016 with respect to me, is a matter that has been under scrutiny for as long as 6-7 years by the Income Tax and Enforcement Departments. I have constantly reacted to every one of the questions and notification sent by them. I am, a honest subject of the nation.”

“I wish to repeat, that on the Panama Papers reportage in the Indian Express, I have not been an executive on the Leading group of the 4 Organizations as specified in a before report. I am cheerful that the GOI has  founded an exhaustive examination on this issue, for, I myself am quick to know how my name shows up regarding those 4 Organizations.”

“I have been perusing requests for my expulsion from the Brand Ambassadorship of the Maharashtra Tiger Preservation campaign. This is the right of the Legislature of Maharashtra, which I might modestly regard. In any case, I wish to express that whatever the choice, I might keep on working towards the social causes that I am connected with – Tiger Preservation, Polio, Swachh Bharat, TB, Hepatitis B, Diabetes, Family Planning – in my individual limit.”
