Johannesburg, Feb.24 (ANI): Former Australia fast bowler Ben Hilfenhaus has called curtains on his first-class career but insisted that he will continue to turn out for Melbourne Renegades in the domestic Big Bash League Twenty20 competition.

Hilfenhaus said that he made this decision as his body was not able to perform at the level he would like in four-day cricket anymore, Sport24 reported.

The 32-year-old, who played his last Test in 2012, has taken 99 wickets in his 27 matches for Australia.

Last year, he was forced to end his stint with England county club Nottinghamshire early because of a hip injury and could only play one Sheffield Shield first-class match for Tasmania this season. (ANI)
