London, July 19 (ANI): <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>Australia finished the third day of the Ashes Test holding a commanding 362-run lead after the tourists opted not to enforce the follow-on against England at Lord’s.
Although Alastair Cook (96) and Ben Stokes (87) helped England reduce the run-deficit significantly, they were eventually bundled out for 312, conceding a first innings lead of 254, the BBC reported.
Subsequently, openers David Warner (60 not out) and Chris Rogers (44 not out) began to pile on runs as <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>Australia were 108-0 at stumps and appear to be strong favourites to seal the victory.
England currently lead the five-match Test series 1-0 after thumping title holders <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>Australia by 169 runs in Cardiff. (ANI)
