New Delhi, Oct 29 (ANI): Delhiites will soon experience Australian music as an Australia’s acclaimed troop, Australian World Orchestra, will be performing in the capital under the baton of renowned Indian conductor, Maestro Zubin Mehta.
Australia’s High Commissioner to India, Mr. Patrick Suckling, said the concerts, on the 30th and 31st of October, would be an exciting showcase of the very best musical talent from both countries.
Suckling added that after hugely successful concerts in Mumbai and Chennai, he was so pleased that Delhi audiences will now get a chance to see Australia’s world-class musicians and India’s finest conductor in concert.
The Australian World Orchestra is made up of Australia’s best classical musicians, who play with the Sydney and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras, as well as some of the world’s greatest orchestras, including the Berlin, Vienna and Israel Philharmonic Orchestras, and the Chicago and London Symphony Orchestras.
Interestingly, next year the Indian Government will hold a Festival of India in Australia, which will provide Australian audiences with an opportunity to engage in the best of classical and contemporary Indian culture. (ANI)
