Avanindranath’s broadcasts on mysteries of the universe released as a book

Udupi (Karnataka), Jan. 5 (ANI): Radio broadcasts of Delhi based Kannada writer Y.Avanindranath Rao on world’s mysterious things was recently released in Udupi.

The book titled ‘Bhoomi gaana Aakasha yaana’ is a compilation of broadcasts on the All India Radio (AIR), Mangalore.

The book was released by Professor Heranje Krishna Bhat at a function held at Rashtra Kavi Govinda Pai Samshodhana Kendra in Udupi.

Senior Journalist and Art critic A.Ishwarayya and writer Muraleedhara Upadhya spoke on the occasion. Dr.Padekallu Vishnu Bhat, Professor Raghava Nambiar, Dr.Uppangala Rama Bhat, Dr.Y.Ravindranath Rao, Y.Bhuvanendra Rao were also present at the event.

The book includes many surprises. The Radio talks were broadcast from the Mangalore station of the AIR. They include many little known facts like music coming out from the earth and the existence of soul. It also narrates the new inventions and result of research in various fields like two in one Refrigerator, and the loss of sight due to mobile radiation.

Speaking at the release ceremony, Avanindranath disclosed that since the weekly presentation was well appreciated by the listeners due to the information on rare happenings, it is now published in a book form. (ANI)
