Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has denied reports that he has quit Anand L Rai’s ‘Manmarziyan’ adding that he would love to be a part of the film whenever it is made.
Rumours were rife that Ayushmann had abandoned the project. Bhumi Pednekar is also playing a role in the film.
When asked to clarify the reports he says: “No, not at all (not opted of the film). In case of ‘Manmarziyan’, the director changed then I got busy with ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’. Even Bhumi got busy with her next film. The dates were not matching and it got delayed. If we get time in future we should do that film,” Ayushmann said.
“Manmarziyan” was supposed to be directed by Sameer Sharma, but he quit due to creative differences with Rai.
Then “Nil Battey Sannata” director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari came on board. The shooting reportedly was to resume in late July but the weather derailed the plans.
Besides, there were reports that Shoojit Sircar’s football film “1911” and “Hamara Bajaj” have also been shelved.
Ayushmann was to be seen in “1911” alongside John Abraham and in “Hamara Bajaj” opposite Yami Gautam.
He was likely to play a footballer in “1911” and a struggling actor in “Hamara Bajaj”.
“Both films are not happening. I think at the script level Shoojit was not happy so we did not go ahead,” he said. – CINEWS
