Bagan to leave for AFC Cup tie on Sunday

Kolkata, March 5 (IANS) Mohun Bagan will be leaving for Hong Kong on Sunday night for their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup match against South China Athletic Association.

They will fly via Dragonair and will take on South China on Wednesday at the Mongkok Stadium in Hong Kong in a Group G encounter.

“The Mariners will have a one-hour training session at the main venue on Tuesday,” the club said in a release.

Mohun Bagan have done well so far this season. They thrashed Maldivian side Maziya SRC 5-2 in their last AFC Cup encounter and are presently at the top of the I-League points table.

Officials: Sanjoy Sen (coach), Sankarlal Chakraborty (assistant coach), Sanjoy Ghosh, Abhinandan Chatterjee, Suman Ghosh and Imran Khan
