Bajwa, Jakhar resign, reshuffle likely in Punjab Congress

New Delhi, Nov. 26 (ANI): Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Partap Singh Bajwa and CLP leader Sunil Jakhar have resigned from their respective posts.

“Both the leaders have sent their resignations to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, which she has accepted,” said Congress general secretary Shakeel Ahmed, while confirming the information.

The resignations came ahead of some reshuffle in the Punjab Congress, which is aimed at the 2017 assembly elections in the state.

“There will be some reshuffle in the Punjab Congress, which we will let you know as and when things are decided,” he said.

Shakeel Ahmed said the name of new Punjab PCC chief would be announced soon. (ANI)
