Barcelona, April 21 (IANS) FC Barcelona squad trained on Thursday in the rain, after thrashing Deportivo La Coruna 8-0 in the 34th round of La Liga football.
Despite the rainfall in Barcelona, the Catalan team trained normally without tension that prevailed recently, after they lost 11 points in four games in the La Liga, reports Efe.
Sriker Luis Suarez scored four goals to help Barcelona thump Deportivo 8-0 on Wednesday.
Barcelona is preparing for Saturday’s La Liga clash against Sporting Gijon at the Camp Nou stadium here, as this game will not be easy because Gijon is struggling to avoid relegation.
The training session came after it was announced that Brazilian forward Neymar will only appear with his national team at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this summer, and not at the Copa America from June 3 to 26.
Barcelona thanked the Brazilian Football Confederation for accepting the club’s proposal on this issue.
Barcelona leads La Liga standings with 79, the same as second-placed Atletico Madrid and just one point ahead of third-placed Real Madrid.
