Barkha Shukla targets AAP Govt. over Anand Parbat stabbing case

New Delhi, July 18 (ANI): Following the brutal stabbing of teenage girl in the city’s Anand Parbat locality, former Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chairperson Barkha Shukla on Saturday said crime rates have increased in the national capital due to the AAP Government, which is continuously insulting the city’s police force.

“The crime rates have increased in Delhi because of AAP Government. Criminals now have no fear of police. This is because Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has continuously insulted the Delhi police. This will happen if the police is continuously defamed. There was a time when people used to be scared of the police but now there is no value, no one is scared of them,” Shukla told ANI.

She also lashed out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for not taking any action for the protection of women.

“When Kejriwal had joined politics he said that he would protect the women. Where is he now? He was talking so many big things at that time but today he is not even visible. The boys who are guilty in this case have the support of MLA of that area,” alleged Shukla.

Meanwhile, women’s rights activist Jagmati Sangwan demanded an immediate FIR as well as strict action against the men who allegedly stabbed the 19-year-old girl. (ANI)
