Bastar police chief says working hard to cut off supply line of explosives to Maoists(Update)

Bastar, Sept 25 (ANI): The Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) S.R.P. Kalluri said on Friday that his force is working hard to cut off the supply line of explosives to Maoists.

Speaking to media after the seizure of 1750-kilograms of explosives that was to be delivered to Naxals by a seven-member team, Kalluri said, “Two consignments of explosives, including 1,000 kilograms of ammonium nitrate and 750 kilograms of gelatin, were recovered. Police gets severely affected by explosives. We have worked hard to cut off the supply lines. This gelatin is manufactured in Bangalore and the ammonium nitrate was manufactured in Maharashtra.”

He confirmed the arrest of seven persons involved in the operation.

“We got the inputs about this, after a meeting with the officials, we fixed a point and were keeping an eye on them,” said Ajay Yadav, Superintendent of Police. (ANI)
