Batting woes led to India’s T20 defeat today: Madan Lal

New Delhi, July 19 (ANI): Former cricketer Madan Lal on Sunday attributed India’s loss at the hands of Zimbabwe in the second T20 match at Harare to a lack of a solid batting performance.

“We lost because of batting, we couldn’t bat well…This was a good opportunity for new players to establish themselves, we should have won the match,” Lal told ANI.

Zimbabwe beat India by 10 runs earlier today to level the T20 series 1-1 at Harare Sports Club.

Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 145-7 with the help of opener Chamu Chibhabha’s top score of 67 from 51 balls. India, however, could manage just 135-9 after leg-spinner Graeme Cremer took 3-18 for the hosts. (ANI)
