New York, Oct. 13 (ANI): A club of bearded men posing for a picture in the Swedish countryside with a black flag were mistaken for Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants, sparking off a police visit.
According to ABC News, Andreas Fransson, 32, and his friends in the Bearded Villains club, were outside the ruins of Brahehus Castle in southern Sweden when two police officers turned up.
Fransson said that a motorist thought he had seen a gathering of ISIS terrorists.
After realising the truth, the two officers “had a good laugh” and got back in their patrol car “with smiles on their faces”.
Fransson said the club’s flag, two crossed sabres on a black background, could easily be confused with that of ISIS. (ANI)
