Belgian army base ‘attacked’

Brussels, Oct 26 (IANS) A man rammed a car into the gates of an army base in the Belgian town of Flawinne on Monday in an incident seen as an attempted attack on the defence installation, media reported

Shots were fired by Belgian soldiers after a man rammed a car into the gates of the paratrooper base, BBC reported.

The man fled the scene in the vehicle after the incident.

The attacker’s car was reportedly found abandoned in the nearby town of Belgrade.
