London, Feb.18 (ANI): Former Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez has expressed his desire to make a comeback to the Premier League, saying that it will always remain a priority.
The 55-year-old led Liverpool for six successful years before he was sacked by Real Madrid, after just seven months in charge.
Talking about his return, Benitez insisted that he was fond of the league and wanted to be on the field again, the Mirror reported.
The former Liverpool manager, who revealed that his wife wanted to see him in the coaching role again, said that he had been analyzing the tactics used in the matches and trying to improve as a manager.
Benitez, who was sacked due to side’s slump in form in the La Liga, was immediately replaced by Madrid’s ‘B’ team manager Zinedine Zidane. (ANI)
