Better late than never: Shatrughan to newly-wed Urmila (Movie Snippets)

Mumbai, March 5 (IANS) Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has congratulated Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar, who tied the knot on Thursday here with Kashmir-based businessman and model Mohsin Akhtar Mir in a quiet ceremony.

Shatrughan also said that it’s “better late than never” to Urmila, 42.

“Congratulations Urmila Matondkar for finally tying the knot — better late than never. Wish the newly-weds a blissful married life. God bless!” the “Kalicharan” star tweeted.

Urmila, whose last major onscreen outing was in the 2008 film “EMI – Liya Hai Toh Chukana Parega”, got married in a quiet ceremony.

Ace designer and couturier Manish Malhotra, a close friend of the “Masoom” actress, was the only Bollywood personality present at the wedding.


Salman Khan shoots with children for ‘Sultan’

Superstar Salman Khan, who is currently prepping for his upcoming film “Sultan”, shared a photograph from the sets of the film.

In the image, the actor is seen with over a dozen school children, who seemed more than happy posing with the “Wanted” star.

The children are dressed in a blue and white school uniform while the “Dabangg” star can be seen in the middle wearing a red shirt and holding a toddler.

“Sets of ‘Sultan’. Shot with these kids,” Salman tweeted on Friday night.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, “Sultan” is being produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films banner.

Salman will be seen playing the role of a wrestler in the film and has also gained weight.

The film also stars actress Anushka Sharma, who will be seen sharing screen space with the “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” actor for the first time.

Shiamak Davar wants his fans to meet their favourite Bollywood stars

Ace choreographer Shiamak Davar, who will be choreographing the performances for the second edition of Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) to be held in Dubai on March 18, says he will try to make his fans to meet their favourite B-town actors.

“Fans love to meet their favourite Bollywood stars. So I’ll try to make this possible for them! Bollywood is hugely popular in Dubai and TOIFA will be one big celebration of Indian Cinema!” Davar said in a statement.

TOIFA 2016 Dubai, presented by Gulf Air and Splash, will take place at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai Sports City.

The awards gala will witness performances by Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Yo Yo Honey Singh and many others.

The first edition of the gala TOIFA was held in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2013.
