Bihar elections: Celebrations begin as early trends show BJP-led alliances leading

Patna, Nov. 8 (ANI): Fire crackers exploded and party workers began celebrations outside the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office here on Sunday and trends indicate an early lead for the NDA-led alliances.

According to the latest Election Commision data, BJP is leading in 11 seats, Janata Dal United (JDU) in five, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in nine, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) in two, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) in two and the Congress in one seat.

Amidst tight security arrangements counting of votes for the five-phased Bihar Assembly election is underway.

39 counting centres have been set up throughout the state. CCTVs camera have been installed at all counting centres. E-counting software will also be used to record real time compilation of round-wise data. (ANI)
