Bihar elections: Mahagathbandhan rallies back, takes lead in trends

Patna, Nov. 8 (ANI): Taking a lead over the NDA-led alliances, now the mahagathbandhan has taken a lead according to the early trends in the countdown to the Bihar Assembly election results on Sunday.

According to the latest Election Commission data, the Grand Alliance is leading in 119 seats, NDA in 76 and others in nine seats.

Hindustani Awam Morcha founder Jitan Ram Manjhi was trailing in Makhdumpur seat by 278 votes after the first round of counting.

Earlier, however, the BJP-led alliances had taken the lead in the trends and celebrations had already begun in the BJP offices in Patna.

Amidst tight security arrangements counting of votes for the five-phased Bihar Assembly election is underway. (ANI)
