Jhanjharpur (Bihar), June 29 (ANI): More than 100 students of a government school in Bihar fell ill on Monday after consuming a mid-day meal in the state’s Jhanjharpur town.
Students started fainting, vomiting and complained of diarrhea about half an hour after consuming the meal.
The children were reportedly admitted to the Jhanjharpur Anumandaliya Hospital for treatment. Most of them have now been discharged from the hospital after receiving primary treatment.
Mid-day meals are provided to students in primary and upper primary government schools as part of a nationwide programme to improve the nutritional status of the children. (ANI)
