Bihar polls will be ‘ghar wapsi’ for ‘arrogant’ BJP: Lalu

Patna, July 16 (ANI): Asserting that the arrogant Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has failed to fulfill the promises made to the nation, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday claimed that the people of Bihar would give them a befitting reply in the upcoming assembly polls.

Yadav said the BJP, which had promised to contain inflation and provide employment to the youth, will be rejected by the people of Bihar.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party’s countdown has begun. They and their allies have insulted this state. They want to build their shelter in what they call ‘jungle raj’,” he said mockingly.

The RJD chief also lashed out at Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) supremo Ram Vilas Paswan, saying every kid in Bihar knows that he is a ‘migratory bird’.

Lalu’s reaction came after BJP chief Amit Shah kicked off the NDA’s election campaigning for the Bihar Assembly polls.

Asserting that fifteen years of the Lalu-Rabri regime has maligned the image of Bihar and people could not forget it, Shah said Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) has made unholy alliance with the RJD to remain in power.

Expressing confidence that the NDA will get three-fourth majority in the assembly elections, the BJP president urged the people of the state to vote in their favour to accelerate the pace of development in Bihar.

Shah along with NDA leaders Ram Vilas Paswan, Upendra Kushwaha and Jitan Ram Manjhi flagged off 160 ‘Parivartan Rath’ today. (ANI)
