Dehradun, Mar. 27 (ANI): Amid the ongoing political crisis in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Sunday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to murder democracy and the Constitution with their ulterior motive of demanding the imposition of President’s rule in the hill state.

Rawat alleged that the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre was attempting to conspire against the Uttarakhand Government, adding that it was not at all acceptable in a federal system.

“The Centre is targeting a small state. Where is the cooperative federalism of Prime Minister Modi? The BJP is trying to degrade the established institutions in the states,” he added.

Thanking the Congress for reposing its trust in him despite the ongoing political crisis, Rawat while taking a jibe at the rebel MLAs said that his DNA is meant to serve the people of Uttarakhand.
